Petit Canon makes soft leather slippers, handmade for the feet of babies and kids, from birth to age 6. Here's what matters to us, and what you'll find in every pair.
What matters to us
We believe a child's slipper should be as soft as it is pretty. Four things guide each of our designs.

Soft leather
Top-quality, 100% natural cowhide leather: soft, strong and breathable. It hugs the shape of the foot.

Handmade
Every pair is handmade, with artisan craftsmanship that blends tradition with modern designs.

A first name for every design
Timothe, Adèle, Cordélia, Marquise… Every design has its own first name and an original illustration.

Ready to give
Every pair comes tucked in a cotton pouch. A baby gift idea, all wrapped up.
Soft, and nothing more
We choose a leather that bends with the foot. We add only what's truly useful, and stop there:
- a non-slip suede sole, which can be gently brushed;
- elastic around the ankle, to keep the foot well supported.
For first steps, pediatric societies advise soft, non-slip shoes without arches or added support, and remind us that the foot develops well when left alone. Our slippers follow that idea, with no medical claims: our sources are listed in Barefoot or slippers for learning to walk?
Original drawings, water-based colours
On the soft leather slippers, the illustrations are original: animals, stars and many other motifs, depending on the design.
The colours are water-based, free of chemicals, and the slippers meet NF safety standards.
A first name for every design
A slipper is sometimes kept long after it has become too small. That's why each of our designs has its own first name. Here are a few, all waiting for you in the shop.
